U12 Recreational Soccer General Information for Fall 2008:
- Born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1998
- Combined U11 and U12
- Regular-sided games: 8 versus 8 as recommended by US Soccer
- 12 players per team
- Use goalkeeper
- Size 4 ball
- Two 25-minute halves
- Two practices per week
- Field size: 60 yds. x 80 yds.
In this age group we try to keep it fun with plenty of touches on the ball. Players learn more advanced soccer skills and have plenty of opportunity to score. This is the first year to play 8 v. 8 on a regular field. A paid center referee and linesman are used for this age group.
