Before you spend thousands of dollars for your child to play competitive baseball this spring???
Consider playing a better brand of a baseball with their friends at a fraction of the cost!!!
In response to member requests, LTYA Baseball is adding a new RecAdv Baseball Program for the 10U, 12U and 14U leagues this spring 2009 season. This is intended to be an opportunity for aspiring young players looking to play more competitive baseball with their friends at a reasonable cost.
The Rec. Advanced program will include:
- "Freeze Five" - RecAdv teams will have the opportunity to form with up to 5 players named prior to the draft so players can play with their friends.
- Additional tournament/s - RecAdv teams will have the opportunity to play in an additional tournament/s.
- Interlock Schedule - RecAdv teams will be scheduled to play against other teams from the Greater Austin Area.
- Additional field time - RecAdv teams will be offered 3-4 events per week including Sundays.
- Clinics - RecAdv teams will have access to LTYA Player and Coaches Workshops.
- Longer Season - RecAdv teams will start practicing in mid January.
- Reasonable Cost - at only 60% more than the cost of Rec, RecAdv will offer competitive baseball at an extremely reasonable price.
Teams will be filled by tryouts scheduled for the early January. Number of teams will be determined based on interest level and player evaluations.
