Lake Travis Youth Association (LTYA) Baseball and Softball is a recreational youth sports organization that emphasizes participation over competition, and education over performance. We strive to ensure that all participants, regardless of skill level, have the opportunity to play and we expect managers, coaches, and parents to maintain a safe, positive, and nourishing environment.
In past seasons LT Baseball/Softball has been affiliated with PONY (Protect Our Nation's Youth - www.pony.org ) and was governed by its rules and procedures. Because PONY age guidelines are very rigid and would not allow many youngsters to play with their school mates, we will no longer be affiliated with PONY. However, our league will still operate within the rules and guidelines established by the PONY organization. It's all for the kids!
LTYA Baseball and Softball receives no city or government funding and relies entirely on the effort of volunteers and funding from registrations, facility fees, sponsorships, and donations. Lake Travis Baseball Seasons:
Fall Baseball Season
- Registration opens August 1.
- Team rosters will be emailed September 5.
- Practices begin September 6.
- Picture day and first games will be September 20.
- Final game will be November 8.
- Atmosphere tends to be more instructional, less competitive.
Spring Baseball Season
- Registration opens January 15.
- Season runs from early March to late May.
- Atmosphere tends to be more competitive.
All-Star Baseball Season
- Participation open to qualified participants in spring baseball season
- Teams form immmediately following spring season
- Season runs from late May to late June/early July (depending on when teams are eliminated from tournament competition)
